Georgian basketball player Elene Iluridze, 21, has joined the United States UT Tyler Women's basketball programme after competing for her home country of Georgia in high level international competition across the world.

We are very excited to have someone who can stretch the floor and play multiple positions. Her length will make her a great defender and her international experience will bring confidence to the team. Her work ethic will raise the bar for our program”, Alvirez notes.
Iluridze is a 5-10 guard/forward from Tbillisi, Georgia, who makes ‘the long trek’ to Tyler with her own experience in the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship in 2017 while playing for her home country. Iluridze helped lead the team to a 20th place finish in Division B.

The Georgian women’s national U18 basketball team on Sunday earned top honours of this year’s Women’s European Championship Division C in Andorra, claiming the gold medal of the competition after recording a 61:37 win against Malta.
