The criminal police seized several cars belonging to members of the so-called Zagorica clan, in order to check whether any of the vehicles were used in criminal acts abroad, "Vijesti" learned from the Podgorica police.
It is not known how long the expensive "Hummers" of the brothers Radosav-Gil and Vidoj Stanišić will be kept by the police, as well as the "Audi A6" belonging to their friend Pejović.
The same is the case with the seized "Mercedes", whose owner is one of the young men from Zeta, who is not a member of this group, and whose car was confiscated, as were the vehicles of the Zagoricans.
According to the law, the police can keep cars for a maximum of two to three months for checks. The Podgorica police assume that all checks related to the regularity of these vehicles will be completed in that period of time, and probably shorter.
Radosav Stanišić told journalists that he perceives the police action as pressure exerted by that state body on them.
When asked why the police would put pressure on them, he said that he did not know, but added that the police can complete the regularity checks in two or three days, but that he expects their cars to be held for a couple of months.
They violate traffic regulations
The Podgorica police told "Vijesti" that in the period of two to three years, more than 15 traffic reports were written to the group from Zagorica.
"They are often charged with misdemeanor charges for speeding, not having a registration, driving under the influence of alcohol..." said a source for "Vijesti" from the Podgorica police.
He added that a few days ago, another report was filed against Zagoričani, for disobeying the law.
