Tere Bina Lyrics

[Verse 1]
You are the muse of my melody
Fountain of beautiful energy
Dying, craving, for you, baby I

[Pre-Chorus]
Taras, tarasti hoon, sawariya
Tere bina man laage soona
Khamakhah ab sataate hain kyun bechainiyan?

[Chorus]
Tere, tere, tere bina
Tere, tere, tere bina
Tere, tere, tere bina
Tere, tere, tere bina

[Post-Chorus]
Dhoom ta dhoom ta na dhoom ta
Dhoom ta dhoom ta na dhoom ta
Dha dha dhin tin na dhoom dha
Dhoom ta dhoom ta na dhoom ta

Dhoom ta dhoom ta na dhoom ta
Dhoom ta dhoom ta na dhoom ta
Dha dha dhin tin na dhoom dha
Dhoom ta dhoom ta na dhoom ta
[Verse 2]
It's the way we're designed
The way wе interwine with you
Every cеll is entranced
Bound to end tragically, death and calamity
Gods laugh as they watch us dance

[Verse 3]
I feel you slipping, you're bound for disaster
You placate me softly, attempts are haphhazard
Every time I wish time would slow down, it go faster
Go faster, go faster, go faster, go

[Pre-Chorus]
Taras, tarasti hoon, sawariya
Tere bina man laage soona

Genius Annotation

“Tere Bina”, or “Without You” is Shreea Kaul’s new song. Tapping into Afrobeats, Kaul explores a new genre on a song about being unable to live without her lover. As usual, Kaul embeds her Indian roots – this time by incorporating syllables of “dhoom”, “dha”, “dhin”, “tin”, “ta”, “na”. These syllables are prominent in all kinds of Indian classical arts. They originate from the tabla, mimicking the sounds of the Indian drum/percussion instrument. These syllables are also used to improvise in vocal music and are used to count in different dance styles.

Shreea first teased the track in a TikTok on September 1, 2023. The audio snippet of a demo version of the first verse and pre-chorus and two accompanying space/galaxy-themed artworks were posted. As longtime fans and newcomers praised the catchy tune, further promotion continued, until a sudden halt in early October, most likely to give way for the current, ongoing Palestinian genocide. She resumed promotion on socials in late December-early January until its release on January 31. “Tere Bina” went viral in India and found success with audiences there.
