Vagabund Moto Releases Workshop's First-Ever 4x4
A custom Lada Niva from Russia.
Not even a week after Vagabund Moto unveiled its 1964 Honda NX65-based V13 motorcycle, the Austrian custom workshop has now revealed a new project unprecedented for the brand, departing from its usual affiliation with two wheels, instead of going for a full set of four.
A four-wheel drive, Vagabund‘s new car is based on Russia’s Lada Niva, a simple off-roader designed specifically so it could be repaired on the field and on the go. Setting off to make the overlander even more robust, the company made a series of improvements after completely disassembling the car and rebuilding it: a roof rack from F-Design has been added, its suspension has been raised, the front bumper has been removed while the rear bumper has been replaced by a spartan design.
New PIAA auxiliary headlights with 3D-printed cover caps and a set of new Dotz Pharao rims have also been installed, as well as new 205/75 R15 Malades Kobra tires. Finally, the vehicle receives a revitalizing steel gray paint job, with black contrasting doors on either side adorning Vagabund Moto’s written logo at the bottom.
While this is the company’s first-ever custom car, it says that it won’t be the last, with future projects potentially planned around a Land Rover Defender or Toyota Land Cruiser. To learn more about what Vagabund Moto has to offer, head over to its website now.
