Sagano Japanese Bistro

The hibachi is always busy and there is always a wait. The lunch takeout is very good and the price is reasonable. Usually go for sushi over anything else and it's amazing. The price for sushi is very reasonable and normal!!

Dirty floor, careless counter cleaning and no disinfectant. Food OK but not top notch. The vegetables were burnt on the outside and not done on the inside. I didn't think the meal was worth the expense.

This place has great food - but some of the staff is rude and it's definitely a little expensive at dinner. If you can get past the service than it's among the best hibachi places in the state. Definitely upgrade to the fried rice. Lunch is a good option too with good portions and lower prices. Don't bother trying to skip the rude service by getting takeout either because they don't answer their phone.

We were looking forward to celebrating my daughters 3 year birthday, and have never been treated this bad by our waitress ever here. I have been coming here since it opened as a small sushi bar with owners being the sushi chef and hostess, but today had been the worst experience since.

The waitress felt annoyed when I was ordering sushi as she repeated that she didn't know the Japanese names. Then regarding the sake she couldn't tell me the grades. I was looking for junmai ginjo and she just literally threw the drink menu at me and said I have no idea. She then said that she has been here 4 years and nobody told her she needed to know sushi or sake.

Nigiri pieces are half the meat and twice the rice I remember when they first opened. Plus they stick a fob of fake wasabi inside that over powers the delicate fish.

I truly wish that there were better choices for sushi in the area and makes sense why they do not need to maintain their quality of food and service.

Typical Hibachi place. Dinner and a show. The food I had was a mixed bag. Excellent Pot Stickers served with mediocre dipping sauce. Not sure how that happens.
Fried rice was okay if a bit heavy on the oil
Steak was cooked perfect, the included dipping sauces were pretty good. Others at the table remarked that their proteins were also cooked really well.
Service: The place was obviously jumping so I want to cut the server some slack, but even so would rate it as poor. IIRC the only time they checked for drink refills was when most had finished their meals.

I would recommend Sagano for an event because it's dinner and a show, but for casual dining would spend my money elsewhere.

Was seated very quickly. Staff was friendly and provided great service. Chef cooked our food perfectly with just the right spices and temperature. Great food and service all around. Family friendly!

cooks and food are good. Service is terrible, don't even bother calling in a Togo order, you'll get yelled and and hung up on just for simply not understanding what's being said flint location sucks IMO

called in to place a take out order & the customer service was terrible. I was yelled at, disrespected because I wasn't understood, & hung up on. went to go done in & seen roaches in the corner on the floor and had to leave.

Didn't get pics but food was good. Never been and it was pretty cool. Service wasn't bad but I wouldn't say great. They were busy but wasn't bad cuz got there b4 they opened. Make sure to check their hours on the website or call. Would definitely go again. Glad I didn't listen to the reviews on this site for it.
