If direct flights to Russia are restored and security risks increase, we will not rule out the evacuation of Ukrainians - Kasyanov

The interim charge d'affaires of Ukraine in Georgia, Andrey Kasyanov, does not rule out the possibility of evacuating citizens from the country if they are in danger after the resumption of direct flights between Tbilisi and Moscow and the massive influx of Russians into Georgia.

He spoke on this topic in an interview given to "Европейской правда" and emphasized that it will be discussed in case of a real threat to the life and safety of Ukrainian citizens.

"In the case of the restoration of direct air traffic and the increase of real security risks, I would like to say that today the embassy does not exclude the possibility of contacting international organizations, our international partners, in order to discuss the possibility of assistance in the mass evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from the territory of Georgia", Kasyanov said.
