Debi Mazar only has a few requirements for a bestie — and age isn’t one of them.

“I don’t think age is anything that comes into play in true friendship,” the 53-year-old told Page Six at the Season 5 premiere party for her series “Younger” on Monday night. “I have friends who are millennials, I have friends who are in their 70s, their 80s, [and] 60s. I think that says that we have the compassion as human beings to look beyond a number.”

“It’s about the souls connecting,” she added.

The actress was joined by her co-stars on the TV Land show — Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Peter Hermann and others — at Cecconi’s in Brooklyn to celebrate the series’ June 5 premiere. Foster, whose character, Liza, has lied about her age to make a career comeback in the publishing industry, has confided in Mazar’s character, Maggie, since the show’s inception.

“I think that Maggie and Liza are ride or die and they’ll always be friends no matter what,” Mazar said. “I think that real friends tell the truth, and they speak the truth to each other, so it’s a moment of thinking about, ‘How can I absorb my friend’s advice? [Or] should I be paying attention?'”

When it comes to accepting a friend’s advice, Mazar says she’ll take a reality check once in a while.

“I’m a Leo so I have a lot of pride,” she said. “And then there’s moments where someone would tell me something thats truthful and I’m like, ‘Oh wow, you’re right.’ I like to checked and feel like true friends always keep you in line.”
