Challenge Vendettas Player Preview: Britni Thornton

Last season we got to see the debut of Britni Thornton on the Challenge Dirty 30; she is back again to compete on Vendettas. Britni’s most memorable moment on Vendettas was her half-hour confessional rant of why she hated Kailah and thought she was dumb. For someone who was never in the middle of any of the main story-lines or plot last season, Britni stirred a lot of drama after the show due to her social media fights with Tori and Kailah. It’s fascinating whether Britni actually dislikes these people, or does it for the show.

Despite her two elimination wins, Britni never got an edit where we got to learn more about her. Britni got some tiny thirty to forty-second confessionals in random episodes to show her humor, but she mostly got a weak edit. She was always a background or supporting, mostly due to different factors. One of them is Britni had a boyfriend she was loyal to off the show. As a rookie, she could not hook up or flirt with anyone, which is the classic thing to do when you’re a rookie. Britni also had to deal with most of her friends and alliances being eliminated immediately (Amanda, Simone, LaToya, Ashley, Briana). In another universe, Ashley/Amanda lead a group of girls to try and use their numbers against Cara/Camila like they did on Invasion against Kailah/Jenna. Instead, Britni was forced into having to play a game where Cara and Camila won all the challenges, where Britni was forced to play for her life in the double cross.

This season is different for Britni. She entered this season “dating” Brad Fiorenza, or she was a single woman who quickly became an item with the veteran player. When photos surfaced during the commencement of Vendettas filming, people were quick to point out Brad already having his arms around Britni in them. Britni dating a veteran who had not been on the show in over seven years is just so fascinating. It makes you wonder how it all happened. Based on social media, Britni is ready to jump into the main fold and show she is more than a background character.

Just a side note: not something in regards to her as a player, but Britni has to be one of the most outgoing personalities on the show when it comes to replying to fans, showing them love, and really understanding how much they matter. I’ve seen so many people on Facebook or Reddit talk about how they had a conversation with Britni, or how she liked or retweeted their comment. Britni might not have been a major character Dirty 30, yet she got fans on her side because she was a great person off the show.

Skills & Physical Strength: Here is an old modeling profile of Britni

According to the profile, Britni is about 5'3, and at the time was 100 lbs. She looks to be a bit more muscular and fit now. Since Dirty 30 ended, Britni’s been flaunting her gains in the gym by trying to take Jenna’s crown of best booty on the show. With Jenna not being on this season, she can totally earn the title and attention from fans.

Britni is a person you do not realize how fit they are until they have less clothes on. Because she is small and petite, regular t-shirts fit her baggy. When the clothes come off you see her muscles and how toned her stomach is. Britni has a bigger presence than she actually is. Which is great for her show presence, doesn’t help as much in the game.

Last season she found herself consistently in the double cross. Many of the missions were team based, so maybe with the chance of competing more as an individual she can show more.

Social, Mental, & Political Game: Her relationship with Brad might actually be a bad move for her game on the Challenge. If you are a female, you want to be an eligible bachelorette for the guys to flirt with. Use your charm to get as far as you can, or maybe switch up who goes into elimination. Like Simone once said: “the power of the va-jay-jay to sway sway”. Britni has hand-cuffed her game to one guy. While Brad is a Challenge Champion, he has not played the game in seven years, making him one of the least connected guys in the house.

The positives for Britni is her biggest allies entering the game are Cara Maria, Nelson, and Brad. She has the best female, and two of the best male competitors on her side. Britni is also friends with Marie, Nicole, Jemmye, Shane, Devin, and Tony. Her overall social and political game depends on if she will be a social butterfly, or more focused on the relationship between her and Brad. It does not help she has a feud with Kailah. She was also the person who started the LeRoy burn vote train on Dirty 30.

Eliminations & Winning Potential: There is a world where Britni takes a similar path to a Challenge title as Ashley did on Invasion. After winning two eliminations on Dirty 30, she is not a person you can put into elimination as a lay-up, and at the same time, she is not a dominating presence. If Britni can find a way to stay under the radar while not looking weak, she could make it to the final stages, and once she gets there she needs to win an elimination or challenge.

Britni winning is highly unlikely; though her making the final in this field would not be a crazy outcome.
