Some of these concept truck designs look like they're from the future — or another planet entirely.

Ford unveiled a new lineup of trucks and SUVs – including the all-new Maverick pickup — at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas late last year. Ford showed off more than 40 unique project vehicles created in collaboration with automotive aftermarket customizers to demonstrate how easy it is for customers to personalize their own vehicles.

"We designed Ford vehicles to be easier to customize, with installation points and aftermarket accessories engineered from the start of the design process," said Eric Cin, Ford global director, vehicle personalization, accessories and licensing. "We work actively with the aftermarket to share our product designs so customers can personalize and put the finishing touches on their vehicle to make it all their own."

Let's take a look at some of the designs they showed off.

Tucci Hot Rods was inspired by race cars of generations past for their sleek and aggressive take on the Ford Maverick.

At the base of this blue wonder is an all-wheel-drive XLT series Ford Maverick pickup with 2.0-liter EcoBoost power. For a tougher look, Tucci widened the truck and added muscular fender arches with 3D-printed fender flares. To make it wholly unique, they 3D-printed a front lip, and a rally-inspired spoiler brings significant style.

Added performance comes from coil-over shocks and custom Borla cat-back exhaust with dual carbon fiber tips. Tying together the modern and retro, the custom wheels have thick tires and 1950s-inspired rims.

In addition to its custom body, the Tucci Maverick truck has a hard rollup bed cover, spray-in bedliner and tailgate spoiler. The cabin is tricked out with a F200 IR dashcam, windshield sunshade, four Recaro Sportster seats, racing harnesses, and custom-painted trim accents.
