MarJon Beauchamp was a top 2020 target for both Arizona and Arizona State.

But neither has a shot now after the Glendale Dream City Christian 5-star prospect announced Thursday his intention of bypassing college basketball to spend a year training in San Francisco to get ready for the 2021 NBA Draft.

Dream City coach Kyle Weaver confirmed that Beauchamp will play the 2019-20 season with his national high school team, before embarking on a 12-month workout program at Chameleon BX, where he'll be trained by Frank Matrisciano.

The 6-foot-6 Beauchamp had 11 Division I college offers, with interest from Arizona and Arizona State.

"I'm genuinely humbled by all the interest and offers I received by some great schools," Beauchamp said in the company's release. "Although they were tough to turn down, I believe the Chameleon BX program provides the kind of personalized attention I need to get my body and game properly prepared for pursuing my dream of a career in the NBA."

His father JonMarc said in the release, "Frank Matrisciano's proven ability to transform athletes, combined with the skills training provided by his accomplished NBA coaching staff is simply a far better option for MarJon than a one-and-done year at college, or any of the other paths we considered before making our decision."
