Trombe overrides everything, and now it is overriding the casual mutlis section!

Lore: The legendary Trombe, piloted by Elzam Von Branstein, this oddly named black mech is all but untouchable in combat.

Lore:Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the field, you can equip it to your "Trombe" as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 3000 points. When it attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of a Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed, destroy this card instead.)

Lore: If this card is normal summoned: Destroy all Union monsters you opponent controls. During your setup you may tribute this face up card you control: Search your deck for 1 "Trombe" or "Elzam Von Brainstein" and add it to your hand.

This is an unspoken rule, but Normal Monsters shouldn't break the 3000 DEF cap.

I'd lower it to 3K on Trombe so you remain in the boundaries for it.

 

As he is, it's just a Vanilla monster that requires setup to bring out.

A wall, yes, but certainly one that's weak to effect removal and the like.

Elzam Von Branstein can grant him the necessary power to win, yes, but again you need Trombe out and outside stuff like Ancient Rules; it's not easy to summon that card.

P-Summoning would be an option, if a generic Scale 8 existed for Vanillas (well, you technically have one in SD29; I forgot its name; think Dragonpit.)

 

Third card is, to be rather honest, relatively bad in usage nowadays. Maybe you can stop Machinas or something, but a lot of Decks don't use Unions at this time.

We haven't had one since SD18 and that's a good while back.

 

It searches the above two cards, but that's about its only saving point.

2nd

While equipped by this effect, the equipped monster gains 3000 ATK. When the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead.)

 

3rd

 

When this card is Normal Summoned: Destroy all Union Monsters you opponent controls. During your Standby Phase, you can Tribute this card: Add 1 "Trombe" or "Elzam Von Brainstein" from your Deck to your hand.
