One of the more accessible Georgian wine makers. I can’t make any sense of the varietals to compare with any of the grapes with which I am familiar. I do like the orange wines from northeast Italy/Slovenia so I gave it a try. Color is clearly orange as opposed to some which are slightly orange-yellow. 13% alcohol and 6 months on the lees. Primarily citrus tones on the nose: orange/grapefruit with some clove spice On the palate the acid is balanced well by the fruit and minerality. The finish is the one weakness however all in all this wine provides a nice introduction to orange wines without having to spend a lot for the likes of Gravner or Radikon.
