A Jewish woman had a near-death experience after overdosing in drugs. But when she was being revived, she heard God’s voice.
A Jewish Woman Named Moriel
Moriel is a Jewish woman who grew up in a Messianic Jewish household. She grew up in Israel, and her father was a pastor of a congregation. Moriel’s name means “God is my teacher” in Hebrew. It was given by her parents so she could live a life that represents God.
She was very passionate about Jesus when she was younger. In fact, she got baptized at age seven.
“At seven years old, I said “Dad, I want to be baptized.” And I was determined.”
But when she became an adult, she started turning to things that drew her away from God.

“Believing because my parents believed they are not doing it for me. Like I wanted to find it my own way, in my own personal way. I knew who God was but I didn’t understand why I needed Him in my life. I want my own way and I want to do my own thing,” she said.
Searching for Approval
That was the time when she became entangled in a world of drugs and alcohol that took her on a destructive path. She got high one night at a party, which put her in a risky and dangerous scenario.
She passed out, and someone called for an ambulance.
“But the ambulance couldn’t revive me.”
Despite all of this chaos, she heard God calling out to her. When she was fighting for her life, she heard God’s voice.
“I heard a voice, and it was God speaking to me, telling me, “You’re not dying here.””
Moriel woke up in a hospital room. Everything that happened was still very clear to her. And in that moment, she realized: “My connection with God never left. And no matter how far I went away from Him, He was always there for me.”
A Jewish Woman’s Life is Changed
Moriel knew that she had a purpose in her life. She then fully knew that she’d follow Him with all her heart.
“I’m changing my life for God. Because His purpose and His fame is more important than my own. I don’t want to be anywhere else than where I am right here.”
Now, Moriel is a full-time wife and mother of three children.
“Through Jesus, it’s possible. Only through Jesus,” she concluded.
