和布刈公園(第二展望台)

An observation park with a panoramic view of the Kanmon Straits and popular for its illuminated Kanmon Bridge and night views.

A park where visitors can enjoy waterfront and forest bathing at the western edge of the Seto Inland Sea National Park. The park, with a total area of 37.1 hectares, stretches from the top of the old castle where Moji Castle once stood to the coastline, and includes a salt water pool, a rarity in Japan, and "Gempei Dannoura Battle Picture Scroll," one of the largest murals in Japan, made from approximately 1,400 Arita porcelain ceramic panels.
The mountainous area is a popular spot for bird watching and flower viewing. The panoramic view of the sky and the sea and the dynamic tides are spectacular, and you can also see ships passing through the Kanmon Straits up close.
From the wooden terrace deck of the Wabukari No. 2 Observatory, located along the road on the west side of Mt. Furushiro, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Kanmon Straits and the Kanmon Bridge over them, with Honshu only 700 meters away. The illuminated Kanmon Bridge at night is a sight to behold!
