JPMorgan Chase & Co. presented Rodney Street Tennis & Tutoring Association with a $10,000 check to provide free tennis and education programs to at-risk youth.

The Rodney Street Tennis & Tutoring Association is a non-profit organization based in Wilmington. It sponsors after school sports programs to combat truancy, gang activity, drug and alcohol dependency and unhealthy lifestyles.

Tennis hall of famer Gigi Fernandez, winner of 17 grand slam doubles titles and two Olympic gold medals, attended the event. She spoke to the children about her tennis career during a question and answer session with children.

JPMorgan, a U.S. Open sponsor since 1981, presented the check Thursday at the Rodney Street Tennis & Tutoring's courts. The event featured tennis and education stations and a Zumba dance off.

"We are proud to once again partner with the United States Tennis Association Foundation to support their National Junior Tennis and Learning Program," said Marge Hannum, head of consumer practices at JPMorgan Chase."
