1 "Rocky Horror Show" Adrian’s Croswell Opera House is celebrating 40th anniversary of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” with two midnight showings for Halloween. Starring Tim Curry and based on the stage musical by Richard O’Brien, the film was released in 1975 and became a cult sensation. The Croswell will offer two showings on the big screen, on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31. Preshow activities, including a costume contest, begin at 11 p.m., and the movie will start at midnight. Tickets are $10, and participation packs will be available for purchase. 2 U-M Halloween concert The University of Michigan School of Music is offering a Halloween concert at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct 31, at Hill Auditorium, 825 N. University Ave., Ann Arbor. In a new family-oriented format, the University Orchestras will join forces for a one-hour concert full of tricks, treats, and great tunes from spooky musical classics and Halloween favorites. All are welcome to wear their scariest costume. Reserved seats are $12 and $8, with tickets available at tickets.ums.org. For more information visit music.umich.edu.

3 Jackson Chorale The Jackson Chorale will celebrate the music of George Frideric Handel with “Can you ‘Handel’ it? By George we can!” More than 100 voices will join forces to sing a variety of favorite Handel choruses chosen by the singers. The Jackson Chorale is in the midst of its 61st season. Concert time is 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at the First United Methodist Church, 275 W. Michigan Ave. Admission is $10 at the door. For more information call 517-782-2967.

4 Christian Concert at JC Jackson College welcomes Christian contemporary recording artists Matthew West and Francesca Battistelli, with special guest Mr. Talkbox, to the Potter Center stage at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. Matthew West is a multiple-ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner. Christian music star Francesca Battistelli recently released her third album, “If We’re Honest.” She is also a Grammy Award nominee and six-time Dove Award winner. Special guest performer Mr. Talkbox is a two-time Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee. Concert tickets are $45, $40 and $32 and available by phone at 517-796-8600 or online at jccmi.edu/events. 5 Chili Challis at Ann Arbor’s Yellow Barn Chili Challis, nationally known comic and former writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, brings his edgy humor to Ann Arbor for a one-night only performance at 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Yellow Barn. The show is part of Emergent Arts’ The UNclub’s series, The Legends of Comedy. Challis has been on the road with his Damn Funny Tour. During his career the comedian has written for and appeared with numerous entertainers and served as a writer for the “Bob & Tom” radio show. The Yellow Barn is at 416 W. Huron St., Ann Arbor.
