During her tenure with ETS-Lindgren, there was substantial turnover in the Human Resources Department and she was forced to single handedly operate as multi-member team. Not only did she successfully do so, but she thrived. She was the go-to for every question or concern we faced. Melani worked late nights nearly every weekday and worked on most weekend to ensure that the employees of our company, and the company as a whole, were taken care of. Any company culture would be blessed to have her on their team as she is the perfect example of a team player that puts the needs of her company and coworkers above her own. During her time with ETS-Lindgren (over a decade and a half), Melani stood out as an outstanding director and garnered the unwavering trust of not only her team, but of executive leadership. If you have the pleasure of working alongside her, you will quickly see why. She takes the time to ensure that everyone that crosses her path feels heard and acknowledged. Such a characteristic is genuinely difficult to come by in today’s world. Yet, she manages to meet that standard and exceed it every single day. She inspires others (myself included) through action and she leads by example. The weight of responsibility she carried on her shoulders for our company baffles me to this day and only increased my already exponential admiration and appreciation for her. The detailed time and effort she put into developing the processes for our team will stand long after she has moved on from our company, but the execution will not be the same. You may have to force her to stop helping everyone with their work or force her to actually take a vacation day once in a while, but that is a sacrifice worth making to have such an unbelievable employee and colleague.”
