Young forward MarJon Beauchamp will look to build upon his solid rookie campaign by flying to Greece to train with one of the best players in the world right now, his Milwaukee Bucks teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Getting ready

After a solid first season in the NBA, wherein he played in 52 games and averaged 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds, MarJon is not letting his guard down and is looking to take his game to the next level.

By training with a player like Giannis, he will be able to learn some of the tricks of the trade that have made Giannis one of the best players in the league. He added that while he’ll enjoy the sights and sounds, he’s there for business.

“To train and to go and get ready for next season,” said Beauchamp.

The 22-year-old was in Milwaukee to greet the team’s new head coach, Adrian Griffin. He shared that he’s excited to learn from Griffin much in the same way Heat superstar Jimmy Butler had when they played together in Chicago.

MarJon has a supporter in Giannis

MarJon has shown enough skill and tenacity to impress Giannis himself, who remarked that the young forward reminded him of himself during his early years in the Association.

"I really believe in him. I believe in what he’s about today, and I believe in what he’s going to be about in four, five, seven, ten years from now," Antetokounmpo said. "I think he has a skill set that's unique. He plays with a lot of energy; he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He's not a big talker."
