Liam Payne couldn’t be prouder of his former bandmate’s career journey.
The former One Direction star reunited with Louis Tomlinson at Cineworld Leicester Square on March 16 to show support for his friend’s new documentary, All of Those Voices. Liam arrived at the premiere shortly after Louis, and although they didn’t take any red carpet pictures together, they were spotted chatting after the film's screening.
Following the premiere, Liam posted a heartfelt message about Louis on his Instagram.
“Seeing the world through your eyes last night was the most beautiful thing to experience,” Liam wrote about All of Those Voices, which centers on Louis’s musical journey, including his rise to fame through One Direction and subsequent solo career.
Liam continued: “I’m so thankful to have you in my life mate I feel so lucky and I know you know this but you were part of a small group of people that literally saved my life, you dragged me out of something so dark I’ve never shared it but your approach is something I admire and aspire to so I can one day do the same.”

The public reunion between the two One Directioners is a rare sight. Louis said in an interview last month that he’d like to reunite all five former members at some point, but says it’s “hard to imagine right now.”
“But I'd be surprised if we lived out our lives and didn't have a moment where we had a reunion, or whatever you want to call it. I'd be up for that,” Louis said. “I do miss the boys and I do definitely miss being one of the five, but I like doing my own thing too.”
1D fans were also treated to a rare Instagram Story from Harry Styles, who “accidentally” posted a photo of himself wearing a One Direction t-shirt. He quickly deleted the picture.
While there doesn’t seem to be any official reunion in the near future, fans can enjoy Louis’s documentary in the meantime — which will be released in theaters worldwide on March 22.
