KUCHING: MyKids Soccer (Sarawak Zone) is sending a group of 36 players, including 20 of whom are 12-year-olds and 16 aged ten, for the interstate tournament at UPM Serdang beginning today (Nov 23) until Nov 30.
The team received full sets of attire sponsored by Coneli Sports yesterday, just in time before their departure, to the tune of RM2,000 in sponsorship.
The team will be having its first warm-up match on Sunday (tomorrow).
“We are very thankful to Coneli Sports for sponsoring the attire and we will do our best at the match,” said a volunteer Edward Dolman at the sponsorship handover yesterday.
The MyKids Soccer is a national football development programme aimed at building a capable national team by sourcing potential talent at the tender age of six to eight years old. The programme is a collaboration between Football Association Malaysia, National Sports Council, Youth and Sports Ministry and Education Department.
Also present at the handover was head coach Hasri Abdullah.
