However, one common element that cannot be overlooked is the micro-bindi.

The bindi, a small but significant red dot applied between the eyebrows on the forehead, has been a part of Indian fashion for centuries. Stemming from the Sanskrit word "bindu," meaning drop or particle, bindis are known by various names across India, including kumkum, sindoor, teep, tikli, and bottu. Regardless of the name, the essence of this ornament remains consistent and has become an essential, contemporary accessory that perfectly aligns with the minimal beauty theme this festive season.

For Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Antilia recently, Alia wore an Arpita Mehta ensemble. Keeping an overall minimal vibe, she finished off her look by adding a small black bindi.

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor's beauty choices, characterized by dewy skin, soft blush, rosy lips, and fluttery eyelashes go with the unspoken au-naturel memo. Her incorporation of the classic red bindi into her look serves as a striking cultural and aesthetic statement effortlessly blending the old-world charm with her modern allure.

Ananya Panday chose a resplendent Arpita Mehta saree for the occasion, completing it with straightened hair and a micro-red bindi. She kept her glam nude-toned, letting the bold reds of the saree and bindi take centre stage.

To complement the heavy jhumkas and an intricately detailed saree by Tarun Tahiliani, Athiya Shetty went in for a subtle, sheen look. To bring her whole look together, she added a tiny bindi.

Continuing the red streak, Sara Ali Khan chose to wear a Manish Malhotra ensemble. The Zara Hatke Zara Bachke sported a muted look, with middle-parted straightened hair and a tiny red bindi.

Suhana Khan

Making her debut with the Hindi-language teen-musical comedy film based on the American comic book series The Archies on Netflix, Suhana Khan has been making waves with her sartorial choices lately. She joined the celebrations at Antilia in an ivory chikankari kurta set by Falguni & Shane Peacock. Mehak Oberoi kept her tresses down in soft waves and the glam minimal, opting for a two-toned nude lip and a tiny maroon bindi.

Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna's appearance in a Lajjoo C saree was complemented by flowing hair and a fresh makeup look. The tiny red bindi added a cultural dimension to her overall look.

Pooja Hegde

Pooja Hegde donned a mint coloured handloom Paithani saree and went with a middle parted bun adorned with gajra. Her kohl-rimmed eyes and a brown nude lip (and a bindi, ofcourse) were in line with the au naturel trend.

Radhika Merchant chose a Manish Malhotra saree with a sweetheart neckline blouse, with stacks of diamond chains adorning her neck, and finished her look with a micro-bindi and gajra-laden bun like most stars. While Isabelle Kaif opted for a Puneet Balana ensemble and statement silver bangles, Mouni Roy was dressed in a Raw Mango silk saree. Navya Nanda, in an intricately embroidered and embellished Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree kept her glam understated, as did Esha Gupta, both completing it with a stone bindi. Aditi Rao Hydari, in her signature look was too seen wearing a red micro-bindi for the festival.
