James Roach, sometimes credited as James "soselfimportant" Roach, is a musician, writer, and director of the Homestuck Independent Creative Union responsible for Homestuck: Beyond Canon. A long-time fan and collaborator of Homestuck, his first music credits appeared in the coloUrs and mayhem duology of fan-made albums.

James Roach is one of Toby Fox's friends, and also a Homestuck musician. He and Toby are the composers of the Hiveswap Soundtrack.
